Aging parishioners, a deteriorating building and a dwindling bank account is not what the young Reverend was expecting when she accepted her first placement at a small rural parish. Young Minati Patel was not what the congregation had in mind for a Minister either.
Reverend Mina is initially lost amidst the long rows of corn, the deep silence and people whose lives follow the seasons of the land. However she finds herself slowly drawn into the community and her parishioners’ stories of survival and perseverance, of love and loss and soldiering on with grace.
