Join us on Sunday November 16 at 11am for a kids read-aloud and book signing with Matt Colby, author of Tigers Aren’t Monkeys (one of our top selling kids titles so far!!!!!) Tigers Aren’t Monkeys is a beautifully illustrated children’s picture book written in lyrical verse and near-perfect rhyme. It tells the moving and magical story of a tiger cub raised by monkeys - and the journey he takes to understand who he really is. The story emphasizes themes of inclusion, identity, self-worth, and the unconditional love of caregivers. Ideal for children aged 4-8!

Learn to Crochet: Holiday Dish Cloths Workshop 4 weeks beginning November 17 Learn to crochet while creating your own set of beautiful dish cloths — perfect for holiday gifting (or for keeping all to yourself!). This four-week class is designed for complete beginners. You’ll learn all the basic stitches needed to start your crochet journey and gain the skills to tackle future projects with confidence. All supplies are provided — just bring yourself! (Crochet hooks will be returned at the end of the final class.) You’ll complete at least four different dish cloths by the end of the session. Each session is $15 or $60 for all four sessions. Please register in advance at Commonplace Books to ensure we have enough supplies for everyone.
