Local Authors

Hello! We have temporarily paused intake of local authors on consignment due to significant interest! We so appreciate your interest in having your books on the shelves at Commonplace, but we are a small team and are pausing our intake of new submissions to catch up and review our inventory. If you submit to this form after August 15, 2026, do not expect a response until 2027! Thank you for understanding.

We're proud to carry many amazing local authors in our dedicated local author section. Books from our local authors are regularly in our best selling titles. We have experienced significant interest from local writers in having their work featured in the store - we invite you to complete the form below to express interest. Please be patient with us as we review your inquiry! A few things to note:

• We carry self-published authors on a consignment basis only to begin.
• There are no costs associated with consigning with us (shelf space fee, etc.)
• We prioritize authors based in Oxford County. Authors outside of Oxford County will be considered if there is space available on our shelves!
• We have a strict no-AI policy. All work submitted must have been completely created by humans at all stages.
• If you are a traditionally published author residing in Oxford County, please indicate that on the form! We are happy to order in your titles through our regular distribution channels.
